A smarter way for families to support a child, from first gift to first home

Most families give their kids money with no structure, no coordination and no lesson. Green Seed turns those gifts into a financial foundation, from birth forward. As your child grows, the gifts become a curriculum: 25 real financial actions, each one confirmed and rewarded. A real path toward wealth, and the competence and confidence that go with it.

How it works

One family, from the week Maya was born to the day she starts a Seed of her own.

Open it at birth.

Green Seed shows you which account fits, and why. Open it, fund it, invest it, and automate a monthly amount. The habit matters more than the number.

Invite the family.

One gift link, and grandparents give to an account instead of a toy box. Every gift is recorded with who gave it and counted against the shared yearly cap.

Choose, coordinate and fund the right accounts.

A 530A, a 529, a custodial account, a first savings account. Green Seed matches each account to its purpose, tells every giver where their gift does the most, and keeps the family on one plan.

Around eleven, show them everything.

Your child opens the app and sees what has been saved, who gave it, and what the family has promised for the steps ahead.

Then it’s their move.

Real financial actions, one rung at a time: a Roth IRA at sixteen, the real cost of every path at eighteen, the full 401(k) match at twenty-two. Family members attach promises to the rungs they care about.

At thirty, it’s theirs. Then it begins again.

The accounts, the habits and the history stay with Maya, and keep compounding. When she has a child of her own, the family starts the next Seed.

The whole arc

Most financial products for kids end at 18. This one is just getting started.

Green Seed is one continuous path from a parent’s first deposit to a first home. Same family, twenty years or more. Every family joins partway along.

Seed

What most parents don’t know

You’re not behind. You just didn’t have a guide.

Most parents feel underprepared to teach their kids about money, because nobody taught them either. Here are three things that change the picture.

New in 2026

The government will put $1,000 in your child’s account

A new federally backed account, the Trump Account (§530A). Children born 2025 through 2028 who are U.S. citizens with a Social Security number can get a one-time $1,000 federal contribution. No earned income needed, but a parent has to elect it on IRS Form 4547. Most parents have never heard of it.

The compound interest reality

Starting at 16 instead of 22 is a $100,000 decision

Six years at the beginning matter more than decades at the end. A 16-year-old investing $75 a month until 65 has a median outcome of about $348,000. Start the same habit at 22 and it is about $248,000, in today’s dollars. The difference costs just $5,400 in extra contributions. Time is the one ingredient you can’t buy back.

Tax law most adults miss

A Roth IRA opened at 16 can grow tax-free for 50 years

Investment gains are normally taxed. Inside a Roth IRA they grow untaxed and come out tax-free in retirement. Anyone with earned income can open one, even a teenager with a first paycheck. Your own contributions can come out any time; the growth has to wait. Most people don’t open one until their 30s. A teenager who opens one now gets half a century of compounding most adults never have.

Our promises

What we do, and what we never do

Money never moves through us

No custody, no wallet, no balance held by Green Seed. Gifts and rewards go from your account to theirs, on your own bank’s rails. We never take a share of the rewards you set, and never earn anything on the accounts you open.

We confirm the action, not the money

Your child marks each step done and you approve it. Automatic confirmation through a read-only connection is planned. It will check that an account exists, and never move money.

We are not your advisor

Green Seed lays out a sequence and shows the reasoning, and tells you when to ask someone who can give advice.

The child owns the outcome

They take the action. You approve it. Accounts in their name become theirs, custodial accounts at the age of majority in your state.
